whitechapel, hauser and wirth

our last ccw movie installment brought us the danish award winning film "festen (the celebration)". it was created by the avant-garde danish filmmaking movement dogme 95 (comprised of directors lars von trier and thomas vinterberg) who designed themselves a manifesto of rules that they had to follow whilst making a movie. these included: everything must be on location- no artificial light could be used, no props or sets could be brought in, the director must not be creditted, only colour film was permitted, the camera had to be handheld at all times, and no flashbacks or flashforwards were permitted. the film that we saw, "festen" was the first film by dogme. i absolutely loved it. they were playing with such a sensitive subject, but they did it stunningly. the acting was incredible and truly believable. i cant really tell you the story line (it just spoils the whole movie) so i'll just put the trailer up:
